September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 for each flight segment (maximum of $10.00 per ticket) A Passenger Facility Charge of up to $18, depending on itinerary; Federal Segment Fees of $3.60 per segment. Various airline surcharges from $1.50 to over $50.00 may apply. Federal Excise Tax-7.5% of base fare (may be pro-rated for flights from US to Hawaii, Alaska and international destinations).
For International Travel up to $200 in foreign and U.S, government-imposed charges per roundtrip ticket, depending on routing and destination may apply. Some countries charge a separate departure tax that is collected at the Airport and typically must be paid for in the local currency. This tax is not included in your fare. Handling Fees of up to 10.00 may be charged per ticket to cover expenses such as processing and customer service (based on class and value of ticket).
A flight segment is defined as a takeoff and landing.
